Description:
This is a unique opportunity
to acquire a genuine 36,500 mile vehicle. The Car was originally registered
by “The Bath Garages” Ltd of James Street West, Bath on
19 April 1968. Mr Stanley Maguire owned the car until 23rd March 1970,
when ownership was transferred to Mr Ian Hawkins. The car remained in
Mr Hawkins ownership for 33 years and was his pride and joy. The car
has always been maintained in exceptional condition and has never been
rebuilt. Over this time the car has been fitted with many rare period
options.
Full
detailed history with receipts going back to the early 1970’s,
Green Log Book in excellent condition, British Motor Heritage certificate,
Black leather seating, piped white (original and un-restored), Original
Black carpets and rubber floor & inner sill trim, 8 - Track Stereo,
Correct MGC Front Wings - (See wide gap between indicator and grille),
J.A. Pearce Knock On Alloys – Complete with correct Spinners and
badges and receipts from purchase in the 70’s, Ashley Fastback
– Ordered in Snowberry and complete with receipts from purchase
in 70’s, Triple Weber 45s and uprated fuel pump, Downton Six Branch
Manifold & twin Sebring exhaust System, John Chatham polished head,
10:1 compression spec, Piranha electronic ignition, Adjustable softcut
electronic rev limited (fitted 2003), Koni shock Absorbers, New Pirelli
195 65 15 (fitted 2003).
Every
panel is original with no evidence of any welding repairs or replacement
panels anywhere. The underside has been protected with hammerite and
is incredible. The paintwork and engine bay is that of a cherished 36
year old car that has never been subject to a full respray. It is therefore
not concours. It would be sacrilege to re-paint this vehicle.
