Triumph TR5 p.i.
The changeover model between the TR4a & TR6, The TR5 combined the pretty Michelotti TR4 shell with the new stroked to 2,500cc version of the Triumph 6 cylinder fitted with Lucas petrol injection which would be found in the later Kamm TR6. As a classic the TR5 is a great choice. Only 1,161 U.K. RHD 5's were produced, ensuring these cars will always be highly sought after and more exclusive than a lot of far more exotic machinery. With independent rear suspension, claimed 150 BHP, servo brakes, wind up windows & a well designed hood, they are very usable classics which can be enjoyed rather than sitting in the garage! They are simple to look after with many specialists and excellent and affordable parts back up.
Third keeper from Sept 1978 to June 2005. Recently Restored to very original specification. Many new parts inc trim, paint, chrome etc. Excellent engine bay. Drives very nicely.

A very attractive Matching numbers injected / Overdrive TR5. This is not a £30,000 concours restored "5" but a very nicely restored & very usable example.
